Portable Redox Meters

Portable Redox Meters Portable Redox meters are those instruments which can be taken out on to the plant or into the field and used to accurately measure the Redox of a wide range of solutions from process ;vessels to swimming pool water, lakes or rivers. Automated water & Effluent Ltd (AWE Direct) currently offer two styles of portable Redox instrument the increasingly popular stick type and the traditional hand held type with a separate electrode attached to the instrument with a cable.

Redox Transmitters

The Redox Transmitter is instruments for mounting close say within 3 metres (10’) of the Redox electrode system. The best Redox transmitters have a display and calibration controls for zero and span so the system maybe calibrated or buffered local to the electrode.Effluent Ltd. The current output is an industry standard 4 – 20 mA output with the same two wire which power the 24 VDC transmitter carrying the current output.

Redox Controllers

Redox Controllers are Redox instruments which has the ability to operate a remote device the output can either by a relay which switches at a preset Redox value or an analog control signal. The analog control signal must not be confused with a recorder output, which is a linear output corresponding to the measuring range of the instrument and should not be used for control.

Redox Electrodes

A good quality electrode is the secret to any Redox measurement application Automated water & Effluent Ltd (AWE Direct) carry a wide range of electrodes for many applications in water and waste water treatment. Our range includes dip electrodes for immersion into open tanks pits and sumps, insertion electrodes where the electrode becomes part of the pipework and inline electrodes where the solution flows through an electrode holder.

Redox Simulator

The APS2 Redox & mV simulator is a source of precise mV signals for calibrating Redox and mV meters. It is substituted for the service electrode and maybe also be used to check the serviceability of extension cables and of wiring within the meters themselves.

Redox Buffers

Redox Buffers calibrating a Redox electrode and instrument is often referred to as buffering the system. The electrode is removed cleaned and immersed in a solution of a know Redox value and the instrument is set to read this value. This is usually carried out for 2 values so the zero and span can be accurately set. Automated water & Effluent Ltd (AWE Direct) offer buffers in values of 4.00, 7.00, 9.00 and 10.00 Redox either as liquid or powder to mix your own buffer solution.
